RESCHEDULED TIME FOR DU ZONE ‘A’ RECYCLE PROGRAM

We have held the Zone A Recycle Program on the 2nd Saturday in the last three (3) months and have received a fantastic response from our residents. In total, we have collected RM718 and this has been added to our Zone A funds to help maintain our security system.

As the scheduled 2nd Saturday in November for the Zone A Recycle Program falls on the
same day of our FAMILY DAY, kindly note that we will collect recycled items as follows:

DATE : Saturday 13th Nov 2010
TIME : 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm (Afternoon instead of morning)
PLACE : Dewan MBPJ, Jalan SS21/12

We wish to remind residents that we will only accept the following recyclable materials:

a) Old newspapers, magazines & books (Please tie them up in manageable bundles.)

b) Plastic items, Aluminium cans & Tin cans (please separate them in different plastic bags.)

c) Card boards and drink cartons (Please compress them and tie them up.)

d) Used electrical items.

We will NOT accept Styrofoam & Glass materials as the centres which purchase our
recycled items do not accept them.

Take note that you can also deposit your recyclable items on other days by depositing them on the corridor beside the caretaker’s room behind the Dewan MBPJ.

For more information please call: GOH at 012-316 6689

Kindly also note that bulky items that are recyclable e.g. electrical items like Fridge, TV (both in useable or spoilt), Furniture (like old Sofa Sets, old Dining Set (must be in “usable” condition) are collected by Charity Organisations like:

Pertubuhan Amal Seri Sinar (Tel No: 03-90211888, 012-6861633 / 016-2037022)

Please do not just leave them by the road outside your residence as this creates a nuisance for your neighbours and makes our area look unsightly.

The DU Zone A Security Program Update

The launch of the Security Program in Zone A has shown marked improvement in reducing crime in Zone A. Before the current Security Program was launched in July 2009, snatch thefts and break-ins (although reduced by the old security system) were quite common.

These incidences have been reduced significantly after the new Security Program was
launched and we had only 1 reported snatch theft in the past two years. Even part-time Indonesian maids who came to clean houses say that they now feel safe, whereas in the past they were also victims of snatch thefts. Similarly attempted or actual house break-ins in Zone A have decreased significantly with no new cases reported in the past few months.

This success in reducing the crime rate in Zone A is due to the cooperation of our residents who have continually supported our efforts to maintain the security system in DU Zone A.We thank you for your support and cooperation.

Kindly also note that the Government has implemented policies that may make the cost of hiring and maintaining private security services more expensive. We are keeping tabs on these policies and will update you on any developments that can affect the implementation of the Security Program in our DU Zone A.

Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons, vehicles and noise in your
neighbourhood to the Police and our Security using the Emergency contact Numbers
